Apprenticeships – GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or above are a minimum requirement. Programmes for Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineering, Technical and Machinists roles available across the UK.
Apprentice Engineers – A level Maths, Science and another related subject at grade C or above, together with 3 GCSE’s, English, Maths and Science and grade C or above are a minimum requirement.
Programmes for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers offer the opportunity to study for a B.Eng affiliated to Sheffield Hallam University, together with on-the-job training and a salary.
These roles are located in North Lincolnshire.
Functional Trainees – Two A levels at grade C or above or equivalent GNVQ/BTEC, together with GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or above is the minimum requirement. Programmes available within Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical, Finance and Business Excellence. These roles are located in South Wales.

Clothing Apprenticeship (Level 4 Fashion qualification): Programme starts in September and runs over 2 years, where students spend 2 x 12 month rotational placements in merchandising and buying while studying for a fashion industry recognised qualification from Fashion Retail Academy. Applications open in September.
Retail Apprenticeship (currently for internal colleagues only): City & Guilds qualification – The programme starts every September in selected stores and runs over a minimum of 12 months. Qualification Curriculum Framework (QCF) – on-the-job training for QCF in Retail Level 2 – practical skills and knowledge of retail.

A paid apprenticeship with The Co-operative offers a huge choice of businesses, roles and career directions. We offer apprenticeships in: Food, Pharmacy, Funeralcare, Travel, Banking Group, Legal Services, Motors, Farms and Head Office. Virgin Media’s apprenticeship scheme is an amazing way to earn while you learn. It gives you the chance to experience the exciting world of Virgin Media and study for nationally recognised qualifications. Our Intermediate apprenticeship gets you in front of our customers to install and look after our innovative, award-winning services. You’ll need GCSE English and maths and ideally a science or technology qualification too.
If you’ve completed your A-Levels you could join us through an Advanced apprenticeship. These roles tend to be more technical and involve looking after the maintenance and growth of our network – including planning, civil engineering and network maintenance and repair. You can also study all the way up to HNC/D level through our Higher apprenticeship. These engineers are responsible for bespoke business to business solutions and maintain the quality of the signal on our network. You’ll also work towards CCNA and CCNP accreditation.
